Wednesday 16th July   The Wedding of Marie and Anton at Cordial Mogan Playa

On what appeared to be one of the hottest days of the year, at around 41 degrees, the family and friend of Marie and Anton had come from Dublin to celebrate their marriage at Cordial Mogan Playa. The guests arrived on the air-conditioned coach to be met at reception by some of the hotel staff and one of the wedding planning team and they were soon joined by the Groom, bestman and groomsmen who arrived in a S Class Mercedes followed by the Bridesmaids, Pageboys and flower girls in a stretch limo. The guests then gathered outside the chapel as they awaited the arrival of the Bride at the hotel- who followed tradition and was late!!!

Once the guests were settled in the chapel, the bridal procession walked into the chapel as Pete sang ' you raise me up' and followed by the Bride who looked resplendant in her Ivory off the should dress.  The ceremony followed a modern and vibrant format and was conducted by our celebrant Revd Paul Gibson, and literally everyone was involved in the ceremony in some way. The second song was sung by Rudi, who sang ' a rainy night in Georgia' after the exchange of vows and Rudi and Pete sang ' Sacrifice' to the enjoyment of all.  Revd Paul invited the bride to lead the initial prayers which she led the Hail Mary's before time for a quiet reflection and prayerful moment when Bette Midlers 'from a distance' was played in the background. Revd Paul rounded off the ceremony with a brief homily about togetherness and everyone playing a unique role in the new marriage. After the final blessing, the ceremony ended with Rudi singing what seems to be a wedding favourite in Gran Canaria- You to me are everything!

Following Champagne Cocktails served in the shaded courtyard, Mr Mos, our resident photographer, took 100s of photographs in the grounds of the hotel,  before the couple had sometime to relax amongst the palm trees and streams around the hotel. They then had a 3 course meal in the restaurant of the hotel overlooking the streams followed by the wedding cake. Later in the evening they moved to the Fataga Bar for the afterparty with dancing until 1am, when the guests returned to their accomodation via Coach and the happy couple then retired to the Bridal Suite in the hotel

We wish Marie and Anton all the very best in the future, and thank everyone for their many positive comments on this very special wedding celebration, and wish them all a safe journey back to Ireland

Then the celebrant produced a posy for Marie and Button Hole for Andy.

The temperatures had reached 40 degrees and the ceremony was conducted by our celebrant in the shade of flourishing trees and shrubs. The ceremony itself had a few extra surprises as well, as Marie produced two new rings which were blessed and exchanged as part of the ceremony.

During the Photos afterwards they shared Champagne with their Friends and had a lot of photos taken by our resident photographer, before saying goodbye to their friends and embarking on there next surprise...a romantic champagne picnic for Gran in the park. At 630pm they were then collected by us and taken to Meloneras to watch the sunset and then onto Black and Red Dinner Theatre for the tremendous Las Vegas Legends Dinner Show during which they were presented with flowers by the cast. They were then collected after the show and taken back to their hotel.

This was a truly remarkable day that went like clockwork and it was great to see the sheer joy on the couple’s faces and their appreciation for everything that had been planned as part of our new renewals of Vows Package. We wish them every success in the future

28th April 2007                 Medieval Themed Wedding at Fataga   150 Guests

AWESOME!

karin1This wedding was something that was outstanding. After 7 months of planning with Marcos and Karin, dreams definitely become a reality at the very first medieval wedding held in Gran Canaria. The Venue at Molino de Aqua in Fataga, with was built in the 17th Century was transformed by our team into a medieval banqueting hall with Banners, Shields and candles to provide a room that enabled everyone to drift back through the centuries with a central Throne area for the Bride and Groom. At 445pm two separate processions made their way to the Church in Fataga, The Grooms procession with The Groom riding on a white horse in full medieval dress flanked by two outriders equally dressed and carrying flags came up the hill to the church and at the same time the Brides procession left Molino de Aqua, with the Bride in a Medieval Wedding Dress and riding a White Stallion escorted by Del outriders, and a carriage carrying karin2

Bridesmaids and Page Boys again all dressed medieval style made there way down the winding roads to the church. On arrival they were greeted by 100 guests all in costume plus a similar amount of local residents and tourists as well. The Procession entered the church that we had decorated also for the Wedding in Spanish to start the celebration off. After the ceremony the couple came out of the door to be greeted by a Guard of Honour of men with Swords. After the photos the couple led the procession of horses and carriages back to Molino where they were met by Mulled Wine and entertained by a juggling jester. Then came the Banquet, with Bread, soup, black pudding, turkey, piglet, legs of lamb, chickens, fruit, fig pudding and an abundance of other delicacies and drink, before the arrival of the Castle style cake. Then followed fire eating, medieval dancing into the night and early morning It was a real pleasure to turn Karin and Marcos Surez- Lopez's dreams into reality and we wish them every success in the future. The Wedding was subsequently featured on Maspalomas TV and in the local Press
